Let the next subject surprise you

A mixed quiz can jump from geography to film, from a familiar animal to a piece of history. That variety is the appeal: you do not need to be a specialist in everything to enjoy finding out which details have stayed with you.

Tidbit has over 12,000 questions and thirty subjects, with traditional trivia, Higher or Lower, ranked 1v1 and parties. For a simple general knowledge break, begin with traditional Freeplay from Home and choose subjects that make you want to answer the next question.

Build a round around your curiosity

  1. Start from Home and choose Trivia Freeplay.
  2. Use Subjects to choose what you want to play. Mix familiar subjects with a few you are curious about.
  3. Choose a comfortable difficulty. Start relaxed if you want a light break; change it when you want a different challenge.
  4. Decide how much time you have. Keep it to a few questions or choose another game format when you want a longer session.

In the computer preview below, Subjects sits in the right sidebar. Use it to select the named subjects in any of the mixes below; these are suggestions for your selection, not a separate pack to download.

Five different mixes to try

  • For a map-minded round: Geography, World Cultures and Architecture & Landmarks.
  • For an evening of familiar favorites: Film & TV, Music and Games.
  • For curiosity about the world around you: Animals, Plants and Environment.
  • For big questions and older stories: History, Philosophy and Mythology & Religion.
  • For inventions and how things work: Technology, Engineering and Inventions & Discoveries.

These are suggested subject combinations, not separate game modes or curated question packs. Pick them in Subjects and change the mix whenever you want something else.

Choose the kind of break you want

Stay in Freeplay for a relaxed session. Compare Modes when you want a specific challenge, or plan a trivia night for a shared game with friends. To play in a small window in the corner of your screen, see how Minimize works.

Traditional Freeplay and Higher or Lower Freeplay are free with a daily limit. There are no ads, and no download or sign-up is needed to start. Premium removes the daily limit and unlocks additional modes. Tidbit is for ages 13 and above, without a kids-only content filter.

There is no score you need to achieve to justify a little curiosity. Open a question, make your choice and see where the next subject takes you.
